By default, Chrome shows a Google search bar and your most visited sites if you open a new tab. In previous versions of Chrome there where features that could disable this behaviour, but currently the best way to do it is with an extension.
- Install the New Tab Redirect extension.
- Set the URL in the options to:
chrome-internal://newtab - Save the options.
- It’s done.
